Lucknow: In a concerted effort to empower women and girls and enhance their safety and security, a series of awareness programs were conducted under the Mission Shakti Phase 5.0 initiative today across various areas in Lucknow. Officials and representatives educated students and women about crucial topics like cybercrime, online fraud, personal safety, and government schemes.

- Nigoha Area – St. Francis School
Gayatri and Pooja Saxena interacted with girl students, focusing on distinguishing between good touch and bad touch. They also addressed topics such as cybercrime, cyber security, online fraud, and bank fraud. The session emphasized precautions and provided details about government-initiated support mechanisms like helpline numbers, pink booths, and women help desks. Students were encouraged to use these resources in times of need. - Vikasnagar – Career Convent School
Chandni and Khushboo raised awareness about the Cyber Helpline Number (1930), Child Helpline Number (1098), Women Helpline Number (1090), and Emergency Number (112). They also explained the role of pink booths and highlighted schemes under Mission Shakti Phase 5.0 aimed at protecting women and children from various threats. - Naka Area – Pink Booth 91
Pooja Kumari and Shalu Saroj led an outreach program at Pink Booth 91. They informed women and girls about helpline numbers and the range of services provided by the government to ensure safety and security, emphasizing women’s rights and available resources. - Krishnanagar Area – Barabirawa
Inspector Siddhi Mishra and Inspector Sunita Yadav conducted awareness drives for girl students and women in the Barabirawa locality. They educated attendees on the use of helplines such as the Women Power Line 1090, UP Police Emergency Number 112, and the Chief Minister Helpline 1076. They detailed measures for dealing with cybercrime and accessing police assistance.
Focus on Women’s Safety and Empowerment
The programs also included sessions on self-defense and strategies to build confidence among women. The UP Police shared insights on tools like Smart City initiatives and Fila Plim Patrols to bolster women’s safety in public spaces. Officials reiterated the importance of respect, security, and equality for women.
